There is the classic ad on the right panel of your newsfeed then there is the more prominent ads that are mixed with your friends’ and liked pages’ updates. In a day and age where the Internet runs the show, it is important for marketers and advertisers to adapt to the new system. Companies want to find an efficient way to advertise their products and services without spending lots of money. Over the past few years, there has been a significant increase in online adverting. More and more companies are turning to online ads to advertise their goods and services. Social media marketing plays a huge role in the advertising game. Many aspects are taken into account when search engines depict and target where a person is from and what their interests are. This helps the company send proper advertisements. Week #6: Analyze How Things Are Going

It is important to follow the trends and patterns of the data because it will show if certain times or days have more clicks than others.  A drop menu provided on the top right side of the page will show anywhere from the last couple days, weeks, month, and all time. This information helps with knowing how many people who saw your ad actually clicked on it. This is especially important when you have a client who needs feedback on how their ad is doing! You want to make sure if it making progress because it takes money for those ads to become clicks. Below are examples of how my ad is doing and how you’d want to go about sharing information with your clients. Campaign strategies are just as important as choosing the right keywords for your campaign. Google provides many different kinds of tools that will assist you in being successful when it comes to your ads. An Ad Group contains one or more ads, which target a shared set of keywords. Now, as discussed before, keywords play a huge role in the success of online ads. You can create a cost per click or a CPC bid/price to be used when the ad appears due to the ad group’s keywords being activated. It is helpful to create categories for products on your website. This will not only organize your keywords but also create higher chances of clicks on your ad. In an example given straight from Adwords help center, it is shown that restaurant selling desserts, beverages, and snacks would make 3 different ad groups applying to each ad as shown in the image below. Week #5: Try SEO

Try SEO I’ll be honest, it's completely intimidating when first looking. Although it’s been a few weeks since being introduced to the site, I am able to maneuver around better than before, but there is still much to learn. I began my journey by creating an ad campaign for the National Tiger Sanctuary. This ad is supposed to show up on Google searches. I did not choose a specific animal to advertise, rather I chose for my ad to direct people straight to the NTS website. Below is a screenshot of my ad, along with a small preview of what the website looks like. In order for the ad to receive the most clicks, keywords need to be added. Keywords are phrases that trigger an ad to show up when a person searches the word. I originally had around 15-20 keywords, which Google automatically scores. Initially, I had a couple impressions on my ad but zero clicks on all my keywords. When I noticed this I knew I had to change my keywords and delete the ones that did not get any impress...
